These pictures are from a scrapbook that was created by my Uncle - Elvin A. Duerst.
"Uncle Elvin" was associated with UNRRA - United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration.
UNRRA existed from 1943 to 1947. It is believed these pictures are from about 1946.

You will notice that the pictures are numbered. However, the pictures are not in sequence in the scrapbook.
The pictures are included here in the (approximate) order they appear in the scrapbook.
Descriptions have been included for some pictures.
However, many pictures do not have descriptions available.

Many city names are referenced in the descriptions.
These are the names, as known when these pictures were taken.
It is my understanding that many of these names have changed since that time.
For example ... pictures on Scrapbook Page 7 refer to the city of "Chengchow".
I believe this is modern day "Zhengzhou".

It is interesting to locate the same areas on "Google Maps" today.
